Essential Properties of Sewing Threads
A sewing thread must have good sewability and be capable of properly joining the two materials together. After joining these materials together, the sewing thread must last for the life of the product that it is sewed in.
The sewing thread must be durable. Contrary to popular belief, strength alone is not the primary prerequisite for a good sewing thread. It helps to have adequate strength, but the following items are just as important:

Duralene #120 | edit
Single-Ply Multifilament Yarn
Duralene® #120 is a 1200 denier (approximately) single ply multifilament yarn, is UV stabilized, knot-free, and chemical resistant. It has been specially developed for imported overhead (fixed) and table-model two-thread sewing machines.
Duralene #120 has approximately 7,500 meters of yarn per kilogram. (Denier is the weight in grams of 9000 meters of yarn).
Applications
Duralene #120 single-ply multifilament yarn is commonly used in stitching woven PP bags at the manufacturer’s end on two-thread chain stitch machines and bag closing on two-thread chain stitch fixed overhead liners. (Such as bag closing of sugar, feed, flour, fertilizer, rice, grains, etc.)

Stitch Bonded Yarn
Duralene® #130 is a 1300 denier stitch bonded yarn for polypropylene bag stitching and is UV stabilized, knot-free and chemical resistant. It is specially designed for hand-held types of bag sewing machines (but may also be used on any other bag sewing machines).
There are approximately 6,900 meters of yarn per kilogram. (Denier is the weight in grams of 9000 meters of yarn).
Applications
Duralene #130 stitch bonded yarn is commonly used in stitching polypropylene bags at the manufacturer’s on hand-held sewing machines for bag closing of sugar, feed, flour, fertilizer, rice, grains, etc.

2-ply Multifilament Yarn
Duralene® #200 is a 2000 denier 2-ply multifilament yarn and is UV stabilized, knot-free and chemical resistant. It is recommended for all types of sewing machines and bag closing/stitching applications.
There are approximately 4,500 meters of yarn per kilogram. (Denier is the weight in grams of 9000 meters of yarn).
Applications
Duralene #200 is a premium product for the perfect seam. It is recommended for all woven PP bag stitching and bag closing applications, such as bag closing of sugar, feed, flour, fertilizer, rice, grains, etc.
